PengWine Featured Wine at Benefit for Children of Chile

Bellevue, Wash. May 18, 2006 – PengWine is the featured wine of Voluntarios de la Esperanza’s first annual fundraising event in New York City this May. The event coordinators wanted to feature a fun wine from Chile for the happy hour at the Children’s Museum of Art in Manhattan and selected PengWine.
As a line of wines from Chile with very distinctive labels, it made perfect sense to launch their Chile-focused organization. They will uncork wines from the new line being released this year. PengWine celebrates the arrival of their second shipment of wine made from select grapes in the Maipo Valley. The three reds, each distinct in character with bold fruit and smooth tannins are accompanied by a dry and balanced chardonnay.
PengWine continues to name each reserve after a different penguin keeping the original spirit of the wine alive. This is what caught the attention of Lauren Andrews, the event coordinator, “I thought PengWine would be a prefect fit for our event.”
Chris Milliken, co-founder and US-based partner of PengWine noted with excitement, “We’re glad to be giving something back to the Chilean community through Voluntarios de la Esperanza. I think the event attendees will love the wine and donate generously.”
