VE Global Nonprofit

PengWine is committed to being involved with the Chilean communities in which we operate. As part of our mission, we donate a portion of our proceeds to VE Global. VE is a non-profit organization that provides much-needed resources and programs for underprivileged children and orphanages in and around Santiago, Chile’s capital.

PengWine and VE celebrated launch together

PengWine celebrated the US launch in 2006 with a wine tasting and fundraiser for VE Global in Seattle, WA. Guests at the event tasted PengWine’s Magellan, Gentoo, Rockhopper, Humboldt and King. Luke Winston, Executive Director of VE Global and volunteers who had returned from Chile shared stories about their experiences and told a bit about VE’s programs for impoverished children.

Gift baskets, wine, restaurant gift certificates and donations of art work made the silent auction a great way to raise additional funds for VE Global. The generous attendees helped VE raise enough funds to purchase a much-needed vehicle to help link their various preschools, orphanages and community centers. Having transportation in a city of 6 million people is important so that resources can be shared and volunteers and staff can efficiently assist where help is needed most.

PengWine is a continual supporter of VE Global and their mission to support the children of Chile.
